Philanthropic Sustainability (e-book)
Jamie D. Levy
Nonprofit organizations face many challenges today. Donors are becoming increasingly savvy and strategic in their giving. Scandal in the nonprofit world continues to test the public’s trust. Efforts to secure philanthropic investments are becoming a higher priority in the face of declining government support and increasing instability in the non-for-profit sector. Nonprofits are under increasing pressure to maintain high-quality services, meet accountability and reporting requirements, keep fundraising cost down, and attain financial stability, all while experiencing high staff turnover rates and boards that are doing more managing and less leading.
With these challenges in mind, JDLA has developed the philanthropic Sustainability Handbook and Resource Guide in an effort to equip small to mid-sized nonprofit organizations and their boards with the context, frameworks, philosophies and tools they need to understand the world of philanthropy and position their organizations for long-term fundraising success.
